The lesson I have to share with you today is really the Mt. Everest of lessons, and is truthfully the reason why I was able to turn my business from a struggling failure into a seriously booming enterprise. And it has everything to do with what you SHOULD be promoting in network marketing and what you SHOULDN’T be.
Let me explain.
You see, we are all ‘brain washed’ a little bit by our companies. Be honest… every darn company out there is brainwashing their distributors to think their products and services are
the best thing since sliced bread. The message most companies drill into the heads of their distributors is that it’s THE PRODUCTS that will make you money.
They want DISTRIBUTORS.
They want people who will fall in love with their product, and promote it for the rest of time. That’s what’s most profitable to a network marketing COMPANY.
But that is NOT what’s most profitable to you. And the reason why is this.. network marketing is NOT a sales job. We are not just ‘distributors’ for companies, we are ENTREPRENEURS. And the essence of successful entrepreneurship is ‘Marketing & Advertising’.
Think about it… what the heck good is the greatest product in the world if no one knows about it? Odds are, you have probably started experiencing this problem or you wouldn’t be on this reading this right now. The fact of the matter is… your company’s products and services are NOT what you should be promoting. They almost don’t even matter. Of course, you NEED a product that provides real value to the market place. You NEED a product you feel good about, that you can get passionate about, that you WANT to use yourself. But the truth is, there are TONS of awesome products all over the network marketing arena. Almost every darn major company there is has a really good product.
So what gives? Why are so many people still coming up short?
The reason why is this – they are promoting the WRONG thing in business. You don’t get rich promoting someone else’s product…You get rich in network marketing from PROMOTING YOURSELF.
One more time…
The most successful people I know in this industry, I’m talking the LARGEST money earners… promote themselves more than anything else.
They understand that products will come and go, companies will come and go, but the BRAND and REPUTATION you build in this industry will last a life time. Not only that… but the largest money earners in the industry ‘understand’ the psychology of our industry. People do not join a ‘product’. People do not join a company name.
People join People.
People join people they like, trust, know, and respect… and who they believe are going to help them reach the goals they have in life.
Knowing this, why the HECK would most people continue to promote their company and products ONLY… when the thing that really sells people is YOU!
Why are you not promoting YOU?
Or better yet, do you know ‘How’ to promote you?
Because this is what I learned when I stopped being just a distributor for my network marketing company… and learned how to PROMOTE MYSELF, how to build MY BUSINESS, my brand, my reputation… all that stuff.
I now have more people literally hunting me down every day than I even know what to do with!.
And I built ALL of this completely on the internet. And the main catalyst that set it off was I finally learned how to ‘Market and Promote’ myself… and create endless amounts of prospects to actually do that with.
